So my children have been out of school now for a week...which means, they're ready for projects! My oldest is heading into her senior year, and because her Mom happens to now be good at putting together "memory" books and CD/DVDs, she volunteered to be the historian for her Madrigals group. I'm excited to help her select the perfect designer template...and that's about all I'll need to do since she already has this "drag n drop" thing down. And my 6th grader is making a BFF (Best Friends Forever) book this summer. It's SO great to see my kids doing really productive things on the computer!
By the way, earlier in the blog I talked about the Life Story I did for my husband's birthday...well, it went exactly as I thought. He was very moved. In fact, he said it was the first time in his life that he's ever been "honored". I put the album up on the big screen (just burned a disc and popped it in), complete with music, and let each of the kids read one of the pages, as Bob held the book and turned each page. I tell you what...that beats a really expensive present any day!
